How to Position a Kilt Pin
Updated: Mar 27
My favorite way to add dimension and interest to my headwear is adding a metallic focal point. This sparkling kilt pin catches the light so beautifully. I love that it's affordable, and can easily be removed and attached to other hats. For a youthful, uplifting effect, angle the back of the pin upward toward the back of your head. Just above eyebrow-level is an elegant spot.
I've secured the pin to a beret I crocheted with Paton's Grace mercerized cotton yarn. Underneath, I'm wearing a velvet grip headband to prevent slipping, and a long cotton layering cap for fullness.
