New Scarf Technique: The Double Waterfall

Writer: Julie DianaJulie Diana

It's about time for something different.

So many headscarf looks share the same silhouette. Most are pulled back tightly away from your face.

This technique drapes softly. It gently frames your face.

To tie it, you'll need one rectangular scarf. Lightweight works best.

Let's start with the 1-minute video tutorial, then it's time to shop.

Let's go!

What I love about this technique is its flexibility.

Experiment with securing the tails high or low, close together or far apart, narrowly pinched or fanned out.

In the video, I secured the tails in place with bobby pins. If you're trying a delicate scarf, use silk sewing pins or mini safety pins.

This look is easiest with a lightweight, open-weave scarf. I recommend that it measure at least 72"x18".
